Circulation policies

CIRCULATION POLICY

1. When checking out the patron MUST present their card.
2. The card must be in the patron’s name or the individual using it must be an authorized surrogate borrower.
3. New card holders are limited to 3 items when checking out the first time.
4. Ten items of printed material may be checked out on a card.
5. Outstanding fees need to be paid as per Evergreen fee policy.
6. Nothing will be circulated to individuals with over $10 in fines.
7. Items that circulate in the Indiana Collection circulate for a period of 14 days.
8. The few circulating items in reference circulate for 14 days.
9. Adult and children’s books circulate for 21 days with the exception of new books.
10. Magazines check out for 14 days.
11. New books check out for 14 days.
12. Microfilms do not circulate.
13. Anyone checking out DVDs must be at least 18 years of age.
14. DVDs can only be checked out on an adult card.
15. Hotspots can only be checked out on an adult card, by an adult, and at the reference desk.
