Our 2025 Summer Reading Program runs from May 27th-July 31. We have a reading challenge for everyone, from birth through adulthood! The concept of our program is simple: Read books and earn prizes! The program is free and open to everyone of all ages! No library card is needed!
This summer, we will once again be utilizing Beanstack as part of our 2025 Reading Program. Beanstack is an app/website that helps families keep track of their reading and participate in reading challenges. For for information or to sign up using paper logs instead of the app, visit the library.
We will be having a Summer Reading Kick-Off at the Story Walk, which is located on the River Walkway here in Peru. Join us to play outdoor games, have a snack, and read the Story Walk book!
The Library is teaming up again with the Peru Parks Department to offer Wednesdays at the Park. Join us every Wednesday at 2:00 in June and July at the First Farmers Amphitheater, located at Maconaquah Park. Each week will feature a different activity and will be free of charge to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join us for these exciting community events!
This year’s summer reading theme is Color Our World, which focuses on art. Join us on the Children’s Floor of the library every Thursday at 2:00 pm for a different art project. These programs are free and open to the public!
